Local Mate Finder started with a simple observation: most Portlanders can name a handful of restaurants near their house and can't name the family two doors down. We built a straightforward way for neighbors to find each other, organized around real Portland neighborhoods and real shared interests instead of a public feed.
Today, local groups across Portland use Local Mate Finder to plan block parties, coordinate community garden shifts, organize walking groups, and simply put names to the faces they pass every day. Whether you've lived on your block for twenty years or moved in last month, there's a way in.
